Taylor Rae is the founder and lead stylist of Taylored Your Way Hair Salon in Larchmont, NY, where she focuses on creating personalized hair services designed around each client’s lifestyle, hair goals, and long-term hair health. With over 15 years in the beauty industry, Taylor has built her career around thoughtful consultations, customized color plans, and helping clients truly understand their hair.

Taylor began her journey in hairstyling while attending BOCES in Valhalla during her junior year of high school. During that time, she worked as an assistant at a salon in Scarsdale, where she spent two years learning the foundation of salon life and developing her technical skills.  After graduating from BOCES, Taylor continued her career as a stylist working in Mamaroneck and later in White Plains, where she built her clientele and further developed her expertise behind the chair.

In 2019, Taylor opened Taylored Your Way Hair Salon, bringing her vision of a welcoming boutique salon to life. Many of Taylor’s clients have been with her since the very beginning of her career, something she considers one of the most meaningful parts of being a hairstylist. Growing up, Taylor struggled to find hairstylists who truly understood how to care for her natural afro hair, which became one of the biggest inspirations for her career.

Today, Taylor is passionate about helping clients not only love how their hair looks when they leave the salon, but also feel confident maintaining it between visits through thoughtful consultations and personalized hair plans. Taylor specializes in gray blending, curly haircuts, healthy hair transformations, and customized color services, always prioritizing healthy hair first. One of Taylor’s favorite parts of being a hairstylist is helping clients experience transformations that go beyond their hair — seeing someone leave the salon feeling confident both inside and out.

Taylor also created Taylored Your Way with the goal of building a strong team culture where hairstylists can grow through mentorship and education. When Taylor isn’t in the salon, she is often training or traveling for competitions including HYROX, Spartan Races, and DEKA events. Her clients love hearing about her race adventures and how she balances salon life with her passion for pushing herself toward new challenges.

Cece’s passion for the beauty industry began at a young age. When she was 10 years old, her aunt gave her her first makeup kit for Christmas, and from that moment she fell in love with helping people feel beautiful and confident. As she grew older, Cece continued practicing makeup and experimenting with different looks. Her mom noticed how passionate and talented she was, which led to the idea of enrolling in BOCES Cosmetology School in Valhalla.

Cece began the program during her junior year of high school, where she discovered how much she loved working in the beauty industry and connecting with people through her work. Although she first thought makeup would be her main focus, she quickly realized how much she enjoyed hairstyling and how naturally the craft came to her. Cece graduated from BOCES in 2024 and began working in a salon in Harrison, New York, where she gained valuable experience in a professional salon environment.

Today, Cece continues to grow her career at Taylored Your Way Hair Salon in Larchmont, where she enjoys expanding her skills behind the chair while working closely with Taylor. Cece loves helping clients feel happy, confident, and comfortable, and she especially enjoys creating polished everyday looks.

Her favorite services include haircuts, single process color, and styling, and she believes that sometimes something as simple as a great blowout can completely change someone’s day. Cece enjoys working with clients of all ages and loves building connections with everyone who sits in her chair.

One of her favorite things about the beauty industry is that there is always something new to learn — from cutting and color techniques to styling and hair care. When Cece isn’t behind the chair, she loves relaxing by getting lost in her favorite romance novel series.
